We usually send SMS messages with an alpanumeric such as SVRMONITOR1, SVRMONITOR2 or SVRMONITOR3. This helps us identify which SMS gateway the message was received from.
Some network/phones will not accept alphanumeric senders so we have now added a numeric sender option in the contact settings. If you want to use this option simply tick the numeric sender option in the contact configuration.

We have just released a new MySQL monitor. This can be used to monitor your MySQL database.
If you specify a username and password when configuring the monitor we will test we can connect to the specified database rather than just checking we can connect to MySQL. You can also specify a query to run and the result that should be
returned. If we can not connect to your database, the query fails or the result returned is wrong you will be alerted.

You can now specify the ip address that should be returned when monitoring your internet services.
If you specify an ip address to check in the monitor configuration we will check it against the result we get when we lookup your domain. If the result is different you will be alerted.
